This week's #littleloves

Another week has whizzed past! I often look back at the previous week and wonder where it went or what I achieved. That's why I really like the #littleloves linky by Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.

Read
I'm reading 'Queen of Shadows' by Sarah J Maas. It's the fourth book in the 'Throne of Glass' series and I'm really enjoying it as a fantasy book with a strong female lead.

We're also reading Sir Laughalot by Tony Mitton and Noisy Farm by Axel Scheffler at bedtimes as they're Lily's current favourites. Both come highly recommended - I really enjoy the ryhming in Sir Laughalot and the wonderful illustrations and both Lily and Ollie enjoy pushing the sound buttons for Noisy Farm.

Watched
Fantasia. Over and over again. Strangely, Lily loves it, even the scary bit at the end based on 'Night on Bald Mountain' which has all the demons, ghosts and bare-chested harpies in it...

Seriously, who really thought that this would be good for kids?!

Normally, I wouldn't have let Lily watch it, but it started before I managed to get to the remote and then I felt I had to let her watch it to prove that it wasn't scary and everything is OK when good overcomes evil at the end. Since then I've had to watch the whole thing far too many times and think that the DVD may have to get 'lost' during the packing process...

Wore
This skirt.

I thought I'd bagged a bargain when I got this Fever London brand new from eBay for less than £15. Matt assures me it looks fine. My Mum tells me it suits me. But despite loving the fabric and cute little buttons, I don't feel at all confident wearing it. It may be because I don't feel confident at all, but, whether it is the skirt or me, I now have to decide what to do with it!

Heard
'Echoes in Rain' - a track from Enya's new album, 'Dark Sky Island' which is out next month. I can't wait as I've loved Enya's music since I was at primary school. I've already pre-ordered it. Does that make me a bit sad?

Made
Some great autumnal meals, including spaghetti and meatballs and an Italian-style chicken dish with lemon and herb potatoes that went down particularly well with Lily. I wish I'd got a better photo as I'd have shared the recipe which was adapted from this one by The Wanderlust Kitchen.

And lastly...
I've really been getting into this blogging thing! I find it really relaxing at the end of the day to sit down and schedule some posts. I enjoy finding more and more great bloggers, reading and commenting on their posts and joining up with linkies like this one.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Thank you! I'm really taken by it, wore it with a black top and cardigan the other day. Not totally convinced but can't bear to part with it.xx
