Share the Fun at Legoland

Possibly the best decision we made this year was to use part of a gift from family to buy our Merlin Annual Passes. We were fortunate that the gift coincided with their summer sale and so we chose to buy premium passes for the same cost as standard passes. Along with other benefits they also came with 'Share the Fun' vouchers which mean you can bring a friend for just £10.

We used these earlier in the summer to take some family along to Chessington World of Adventures which was brilliant and last weekend we went with friends to Legoland Windsor.

This was our second visit as a family and so we had more of an idea of what we wanted to do this time round. We arrived in time for opening and had a short wait in the queue to purchase the bring a friend tickets before heading into the park to explore.

This time round we went on far more rides, which was easier because we had more adults to wait with Ollie and Reuben (18 months and nearly 3 years) when they were too small to ride. Jessica and Lily (5 years and 4 years) were able to ride on a bit more.

The best ride by far was Atlantis. I didn't know what to expect and I wouldn't want to ruin it for you but I was amazed. The adults loved it and the kids loved it, we would have gone back for another go but the queue was much longer by that point and so we gave it a miss.

I also enjoyed the Laser Raiders but the queue was pretty awful. The hour long wait was only made slightly more bearable by using the kids area where they could wait, watch TV and play whilst their parents continued to wind their way around the queue.

The Pirates of Skeleton Bay stunt show was just as enjoyable second time round, we got there a bit early and had a rest before the performance began. After the show the girls loved chatting with the pirates who were really friendly and professional.

Other highlights included watching the three older children go on the L-Drivers ride, the Duplo Valley Airport and Fairy Tale Brook which we went on just before the heavens opened in time for lunch. Attempting to read the map in the torrential rain was useless and so we weren't able to find an official picnic area and so we ended up eating our picnic under the canopies of Farmer Joe's Chicken Company.

Bringing our own food for lunch was a budget lifesaver as I was shocked to see that a chicken bucket that would cost around £15 for a family in other well-known outlets was actually double the price in the park. I could maybe stomach this for a special occasion but we were all on a tight budget this time round and so made do with some much needed hot drinks from the restaurant and our own homemade sandwiches.

Towards the end of the day we spent the last of our time at Miniland - you can't go to Legoland and not spend ages admiring the work that goes into creating these little cities!

Even arriving as the park opened and leaving as it closed, we didn't get to see it all. For us, that doesn't matter as we can use our passes and go again another day! If you're planning a big visit though, it might be worth considering going for two days, then you're sure to fit it all in.

Being able to go with friends as a group was wonderful. It was fun to hang out and have a great time with our kids. There were no tantrums and no issues, just lots and lots of smiles and laughter and I want to go and do it all over again.

After I have a couple more days to recover!

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it! ecommerce web design singapore
