A month of #LittleLoves

Wow.

What a month. With moving house, changing jobs, settling Ollie into nursery and birthdays, family trips and Christmas shopping (yes, I started early) it's been a crazy few weeks. It's been so long since I wrote a #LittleLoves post for linking up with Coffee Work Sleep Repeat that I wouldn't know where to start if it wasn't for the useful prompts!

Read
Well, I finished reading 'Queen of Shadows' by Sarah J Maas and enjoyed it and so also gave 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' a go. In the end I actually enjoyed it more as I felt the story seemed tighter and I liked that the faerie folk lore was well researched.

Lily, Ollie and I have been reading some classics at bedtime lately - 'Giraffes Can't Dance' and 'Peace at Last' are amongst the very long list of recent reads. I've needed to take a rain check on how many books we have for the kids - I have two large baskets in Lily's room, one in Ollie's, one in the living room and various bookshelves. To me, that sounds pretty reasonable, but that's without the box under Lily's bed which hasn't been unpacked yet and a number of Christmas presents...

Watched
Lots and lots of Disney films! Sky gave us free Sport and Movies for the last month of our contract as an incentive to stay with them after moving. I'm dubious because the cost is high but I have really enjoyed having the Disney movies channel and watching tons of films with Lily. It means that I've discovered that I really don't like Peter Pan (he's an arrogant, sexist git) but I've fallen in love with the Tinkerbell and co. films.

Wore
My Cath Kidston love affair continues and I've been using my new bag every day - it's got enough room for nappies, wipes and baby bits but still feels less like a changing bag and more of a normal handbag!

As for Lily, I'm in love with bobble hats and have been for a while, but this week I found this lovely matching set from Zara and wish they had it in my size...

Heard
The new Enya album I talked about a while ago now! I guess it is very much like every other Enya album, but for me that's not really a criticism. I bought it expecting that, and it delivered. I'm not sure that Matt is a fan though!

Made
A house a home! Well, I've been making some progress. Here is a quick peek at our living room.

It is taking a while, but it is beginning to take shape. We had a huge Ikea trip and I've also spent a fair bit of time hunting round local charity shops for bits and bobs. I also took advantage of some redundancy pay and picked up a few bits from my Living Room wish list.

I've also been getting back into the swing of things and have been sticking to our routine of doing an activity in the afternoons. Sometimes this is just some cooking or baking, but we have also made a lovely gift for Matt's Mum and these Christmas cards.

And lastly...
It hasn't been an easy month. In fact, I can't remember when I last felt this stressed - some days I just want to crawl back into bed and hide under the covers. But, that said, I'm really excited about December, the run up to Christmas and all the excitement it brings. So, enough moaning and on we go!
