Candid Cuddles

Today I'm co-hosting the Candid Cuddles linky with Becky over at the Cuddle Fairy and I'm so excited to be included that I have chosen to share two lovely quotes!

I'm a big fan of the Candid Cuddles linky and try to link up whenever I can - I love reading other people's quotes and enjoy creating my own images to display a quote that has resonated with me that week.

It's a friendly community too. Last week I shared a bit of a sad post about my Dad and I debated for a long time before hitting publish because I wasn't sure about sharing something so miserable. I shouldn't have worried because everyone was so lovely and it made me feel better reading their comments.

This week I've picked two quotes, both by Charlotte Gray. They're both about parenting, and I don't know about you, but they leave me with a fuzzy, bittersweet feeling inside when I consider how quickly time flies and how quickly my little ones are growing - parenting is nothing like I thought it would be but I wouldn't change it for the world.

So, if you have an inspirational, funny or uplifting quote to share then head over straight away and get sharing the linky love.

These quotes resonate with me too! I have an 8th grader who has been touring the high school and going to orientations to get ready to start high school in September. This has had me really going back in my memories of him when he was growing in my belly and when he was born. I am cherishing those memories more and more as he grows and as he grows, new worries and anxieties emerge for me. Watching him grow into this amazing young man has been such a gift while at the same time watching him grow further and further from me has caused some sadness and worry. As you said, it's bittersweet to watch our children grow up and eventually leave the nest but it's also a rewarding part of life:) Thanks for co-hosting #candidcuddles this week!

Lovely quotes! I'm the same, I love the blogging community and try to link up as much as I can. I love candid cuddles the best because the quotes are life's lessons or inspirations to me. #candidcuddles

I really love that first quote! It expresses exactly how I have been feeling lately. I have a post called growing pains coming out this week that expresses this sentiment t exactly. Thank you for co-hosting 🌷

that first quote just really touched me! So beautifully said. My eldest goes into Australian high school next year and I am thrilled for her and so terrified. I try and guide her to confidence and independence yet she is still my tiny girl who needs me and my hugs. She is so amazing and yet she doesn't always see it. I hope she finds that confidence to soar. Thank you for hosting this week, it is such great linky. #candidcuddles

Absolutely lovely quotes. So true as well; we'll let them spread their own wings but will always love them regardless xx #candidcuddles

😊 time really does fly by too quickly... this brought a tear to my eye (sobs into duvet cover... yes I am in bed already πŸ‘) as only just this evening I noticed how much older and wiser Little Button has got this year #candidcuddles

I really love this one! #CandidCuddles is one of my FAVORITE linkys, because I feel that sometimes people best express themselves using a quote. In this linky, I find that I really get to know the person behind the blog-even if it's my first ever post of theirs that I'm reading! I really enjoyed your quotes this week, and the first one kind of had my heart feeling weak. The thought of having to let my son go one day makes my heart skip a beat, but I just want him to be ready to take on the world! #CandidCuddles

Lovely quotes! Time goes by too fast and I see how fast my little one is growing, becoming more independent. All we can do is try to make the best memories - they stay with us and shape who we are. #CandidCuddles

I can't imagine what it is like to parent an older child right now, it scares me if I'm honest. I still look at my children and see babies but they're growing so quickly. xx
