Firework Art

Remember, remember the fifth of November,
Gunpowder treason and plot.
We see no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!

Yes, it's that time of year once again. I'm already looking forward to going to a local fireworks display on Saturday with Ollie's godparents. We went last year and Lily is excited to go again, especially as we have bought some ear defenders for both her and Ollie to protect them from loud bangs.

So I decided to get in the mood by creating some firework pictures.

We had already tried out pipe cleaner fireworks last year - easy yet effective. The dish brush was a new addition thanks to Pinterest, but although Lily liked using it, I didn't think the finished effect was as good. As an aside, there is no way a toddler did the picture on the Pin I found...

*WARNING* You will get glitter EVERYWHERE.

It was a great activity and I'm glad I took the time to do it as Lily hasn't had much to do in the last week and has had to take a backseat due to the move and Ollie being more clingy than usual. This simple craft perked her up and it made me feel better working towards our routine of mornings out and about followed by afternoons back home for a sensory or craft activity.

We did "firework" art today. Daughter enjoyed it but it end with baby dumping a dish of cold on himself. Hope to write up post later. #BEDN

Well done you. It will be a cold day in Thailand when I allow glitter to pass through our threshold. It's bad enough I've covered in it all day long at school for at least two months a year. They do look fab though. Thanks so much for linking up to #fartglitter x

Aw, this was a really nice post. In concept I wish to put in writing like this moreover – taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… however what can I say… I procrastinate alot and on no account appear to get one thing done.Twitter
